Hatha Yoga Class

The class starts with a gentle warm up in preparation for sun salutations (a sequence of movements that warm and mobilize the body). Moving on through a number of standing postures (asanas), followed by seated postures, twists and back bends. Each class ends with a relaxation. Pranayama (breath awareness) is included in each class.

 

The class aims to enable the various parts of the body to function in harmony, keep the cellular system healthy, and improve circulation and respiration By developing the health of the body and bringing the mind into a relaxed but focussed state ,yoga promotes deep relaxation and relief from stress.
